We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our growing team. This role involves a wide variety of hands-on tasks in both workshop and on-site settings, working with timber and other materials to build and install custom structures and fittings.
Key Responsibilities:
Review building plans, drawings, and specifications to work out materials needed, dimensions, and installation approaches
Measure, cut, and shape timber and other materials using both hand tools and modern machinery
Assemble pre-cut timber or flat-pack components to build frameworks, cabinetry, and other fixtures
Construct and install kitchen cabinets, benchtops, shelving, and custom furniture pieces
Fit internal fixtures such as doors, architraves, skirting boards, and wall panels
Operate woodworking machines such as beam saws and panel saws to prepare materials
Order timber and other supplies, assist in layout planning, and ensure accurate cuts and assembly
Carry out repairs and modifications to existing fittings or cabinetry
Maintain high standards of safety and workmanship across all jobs
About You:
Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent) with a minimum of two years on-the-job experience
Strong knowledge of tools, machinery, and safe work practices
Ability to interpret plans accurately and work independently or as part of a team
Positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and good problem-solving skills
Relevant licenses or registrations as required
