The Opportunity

Originally founded by Professor Fiona Stanley back in 1990, the Institute has grown to become one of Australia’s leading medical research Institutes attracting world-class researchers and medical experts focused on improving the health and development of children.

We are now seeking an Administration Coordinator to provide high-level support to the Healthy Skin Team Head. Our team, comprising of researchers, project staff and honorary members, aims for all kids to have healthy skin by working with communities to reduce the burden of skin infections to prevent rheumatic fever.

The Administration Coordinator works closely with the Team Head to ensure that that priorities and competitive deadlines are met. This includes extensive diary and appointment management, actioning and drafting correspondence, detailed travel arrangements and liaising with internal and external stakeholders.

Located in the modern offices of The Kids within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this role will be offered on a full-time basis.

About You

This dynamic role will suit someone with excellent communication skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, complex environment managing multiple priorities whilst interacting at senior levels of the Institute with confidence.

Along with this, your application must also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Relevant experience in administrative, project management or business capacity role.
  • Demonstrated experience with executive assistance, including calendar and email management, booking meetings and travel arrangements.
  • A go-getter that can work both independently and collaboratively as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person, over the phone and via email.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to co-ordinate, develop and implement new administrative processes and procedures to improve team functionality.
  • Knowledge in the field of health research and/or Aboriginal culture is preferred but not essential.
