Reporting to the newly appointed Head of Tax, Treasury & Insurance you will provide expert tax accounting support and business partnering across the organization. Your contributions will be critical in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting. You will work closely with the Group FC to meet financial deadlines and requirements, applying your strong technical accounting skills to deliver accurate and reliable results.

The Tax Specialist will be primarily responsible for the preparation of tax accounting (bi-annual) and tax compliance (income tax, GST and FBT) workpapers for the Australian and New Zealand businesses. This role will also assist the Head of Tax, Treasury & Insurance with providing tax advisory support in relation to day-to-day operations, larger transactions and projects across all taxes.

Skills and Experience Required:

• 3-4 years tax experience in a professional firm or corporate tax team
• Strong understanding of Australian income tax, FBT and GST legislation
• Good tax effect accounting knowledge
• Experience using OneSource Corporate Tax
• Attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Big4 trained will be looked upon favourably
• Hold tertiary degree and relevant post-graduate qualifications (CA, CPA, CTA or Masters of Tax)
