Your Role:

As an in-home chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing high-quality, nutritious meals within the client's home. This includes menu planning, grocery shopping, and cooking. Additionally, you may be asked to provide one-on-one cooking lessons to clients looking to improve their culinary skills or confidence. Collaboration with both management and clients on menu development and planning will be a key aspect of this role, necessitating access to a computer and reliable internet.

Qualifications:

Formal chef qualifications are mandatory. We encourage applications from individuals with extensive food knowledge and a proven track record of 10 years of commercial experience in settings such as contract catering, private chef roles, or reputable restaurants.

Requirements

• Your own insured and reliable car, which must be pet-free and clean
• Current and clean driver's license
• Your own knives and full chef's uniform
• Reliable internet, phone camera, email, computer, and printer
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency

Essential

• Trade Qualified Chef (International qualifications welcome)
• National police check
• Food handlers certificate
• Blue card (Working With Children WWC)
• First aid certificate
• NDIS modules
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene
• Genuine passion for food and enthusiasm to help people

Desirable

• Experience working in a similar role for a disability support company, catering company, or as a private chef
• Experience working in the disability sector
