We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated professional with a passion for asset data management to join our client, a local government authority, for a 3-month temporary contract assignment.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing success of a well-respected public sector organisation.
About the Role:
As an Asset Data Officer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and monitoring both the AMIS and GIS systems, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of asset data.
- Ensuring that all asset data received complies with Council requirements.
- Undertaking asset data entry and analysis as required, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring best practices are maintained.
- Responding to inquiries about asset data from internal and external clients, providing timely and accurate information.
- Ensuring that all asset data aligns with the Council's Assets & Asset Data Handover Procedures.
- Taking responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of sound risk management practices in line with Wyndham’s Risk Management Policy. You’ll help create a culture where managing risk is a shared responsibility.
The Ideal Candidate:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous local government experience in an Asset Management role.
- A strong understanding of asset management systems, particularly AMIS and GIS.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain data integrity.
- Strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude towards identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices.
- A sound understanding of risk management principles and practices.
