Our client is a market leading mid-tier professional services firm located in the Melbourne . Due to continued growth they are seeking a highly skilled Business Advisory Manager to compliment their high performing practice.

Whether you are coming from a Big 4, mid-tier or smaller practice, there is a great opportunity for you to work in a high performing firm, with a small firm feel and excellent culture.

Opportunity

This is a particularly great role for any Business Advisory Managers who are unable to advance their career further in their current firm.

This role provides the opportunity to work across multiple high performing Partners and within a vibrant and talented peer group.

Working on a number of exciting start ups through to established household names across the middle market (including some ASX listed entities) you will be constantly challenged and given plenty of opportunity to develop your technical skills.

As an established mid-tier practice, the firm offers excellent training and career development for Senior Managers to progress further towards Director / Partner positions.

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of clients including HNWI's, trusts, partnerships and companies including various family groups;
  • Preparation and review of complex financial statements;
  • Preparing management accounting reports for review;
  • Reviewing tax and FBT returns and identifying non-compliance issues from them;
  • Manage, delegate, develop junior staff
  • Providing complex business advisory services
  • Review of job and year end tax planning advice for clients;

Requirements

  • CA/CPA qualified;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written;
  • Strong strategic understanding of corporate structures (e.g. trust, companies and partnerships)
  • Commercial, professional and ability to work in a high performing environment
  • Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce, Finance or Business, ideally with a Major in Accounting;
  • 5 years + experience working within a boutique, Big 4 and or Mid-Tier accounting firm in Australia.
  • Experience in managing and leading junior team members
