ABOUT THE ROLE

A wonderful opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join our team in our well-appointed and renown residential aged care home located in Peakhurst, NSW.

You will be looking after a varied case load, ensuring the residents remain as active as possible and as pain-free as possible with your therapy.

HOURS AND DAYS

• Part time
• Monday (8 hours), Wed (8 hours) and Thurs (8 hours)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Providing comprehensive physiotherapy assessments and care plans
• Implementing wellness and re-ablement program to promote active lifestyle
• Providing exercise plans and falls prevention program
• Prescribing mobility and functional equipment
• Participating in professional development and staff education
• Exercising residents in seated group classes

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in aged care advantageous (new grads will be supported)
• Sound clinical decision making
• Sound with exercise prescription
• Can work independently and in multi-disciplinary environment
• Familiar with manual handling equipment
• Computer literate
• Good documentation

• Recognized Physiotherapy qualification and current registration with AHPRA (limited or full registration)
• Current police clearance
