About the role
The Project Support Officer will provide administrative and project support to teams within SNAICC. The role requires strong administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills to enable the provision of timely, high-quality project and team support. The Project Support Officer will report to the Project Manager, and will work closely with the Manager, Learning & Development to provide effective project and administrative support across both teams.
We are looking for someone who:
Can provide administrative support to the relevant Managers, and their broader teams.
Under the guidance of relevant Managers, undertake the following team administration and project support tasks:
- managing shared inboxes,
- scheduling meetings and managing logistics for team, including making travel arrangements,
- coordinating and supporting meetings by preparing agendas, collating and distributing papers, attending and taking minutes and actions,
- coordinating the logistics of training sessions including but not limited to cultural engagement activities, venue bookings, catering, audio visual requirements, travel and accommodation, registration of participants into training sessions,
- setting up and maintaining workflow processes, including tracking team activities and following up with team members to ensure activities are completed.
Has demonstrated experience in coordinating administrative tasks, including using Microsoft Office programs.
Has an understanding of issues impacting upon Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families, and commitment to the rights, needs and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families.
Has strong relationship building and interpersonal skills including the ability to work with a range of stakeholders with diverse working styles.
Possesses strong written communication and organisational skills

We work to amplify the voice of community and the sector for the fulfilment of the rights of our children.

- Research and policy development, with high-level leadership, policy and sector representation
- Training and resource design, development and delivery including topics such as early childhood development, partnerships, family support, trauma, and cultural competency.
