Opportunity for you!

Due to our continued business growth, we are looking for an accomplished Operations or Facilities Management professional ready to step into a Contract Manager role on a full-time permanent basis. This role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of cleaning services at a prestigious site for one of our high-profile clients in the Melbourne CBD. This key management position will be pivotal in building and maintaining a strong relationship with the client and ensuring operational and financial metrics are met within the contract.

Based at our client location, you will be joining a national business with a strong presence in Victoria. For the right candidate who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and be agile to adapt to changing dynamics, this crucial role provides you with unlimited opportunities to make an impact.

Reporting to the Operations Manager (Commercial & Education) and overseeing two Client Service Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensure the effective management of site operations, including clear understanding of the agreed scope of works and integrated management plans for each site.
  • Lead, manage and motivate the team, including regular 1:1 development meeting. Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members on a regular basis.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with the client and other stakeholders, ensuring open and transparent communication.
  • Ensure financial processes are followed including management of P&L, creditor reports, purchase orders and payroll approval.
  • Accountable for compliance across the contract and actively work with other business functions to mitigate against any risks.
  • Complete reports, contract plans and strategies as required along with any other business reports.
  • Complete and manage the preparation of quotes and/or tender responses as identified, including proactively following up.
  • Ensure safe work practices are followed within the business and that equipment and machinery is maintained in a safe operating condition.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you can demonstrate that you possess:

  • Proven experience in client management, with a strong ability to build and maintain successful relationships through effective communication.
  • Experienced with cleaning service operations, contract management, leadership and people management.
  • Excellent customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Strong understanding of financial processes, including managing P&L, data analysis and purchasing, to ensure operations are delivered within budget.
  • An effective team player, with ability to adapt and change in a growing business environment.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience in completing reports and presentations for senior management.
  • Experienced in completing audits, hazard identification, and risk assessments, including Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
  • Experienced in incident investigations with a good understanding of the WorkCover process and employer injury management obligations.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and experience working with online document management and auditing systems.
