Qualifications & experience

• Qld Certificate of Education (QCE) or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
• Computer literate.
• Ability to distinguish shades of colors.
• Required to use hands and fingers.
• Physically demanding.
• Mature age (21 & over) will be considered.
• Australian citizen, permanent resident or work/study visa holder.
• Must be willing to do a pre-employment medical (including eye and drug and alcohol test).

Tasks & responsibilities

• Assists qualified technicians in performing electrical and instrumentation installation, inspection, maintenance and repair activities and projects.
• Help install, maintain, and repair industrial control systems and power distribution systems.
• Assists in maintaining instrumentation including analytical, flow, pressure, and level transmitters.
• Assists in maintaining computer equipment including telemetry (SCADA) system, HMI software, programmable controllers, UHF radios, fiber networking, and process systems.
• Work with electrician to install new equipment including conduit and wiring.
• Be responsible for clean-up of shop and work sites.
• All other duties assigned.
• Must be willing to do coal board medical, and random drug and alcohol testing.
