Role Description

As a lawyer at Hindsight Legal Advisers, you will be:

• Providing legal advice and guidance in areas of property law and banking/finance law, which includes both transactional and compliance/regulatory work
• Providing legal advice and guidance to retail customers navigating both simple and complex personal law matters, including acting for and advising customers on the purchase or sale of property throughout Australia
• Supported to lead a file from end to end in accordance with our processes and systems
• Managing your workflow and calendar to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner
• Liaising with clients, external solicitors, conveyancers, banks, finance brokers, government agencies, and regulators to ensure the legal process runs smoothly – when acting both in our capacity as lawyers for lenders and borrowers
• Completing settlements using the PEXA platform.
• Maintaining excellent file management, accuracy, and attention to detail in record keeping.
• Keeping clients and other stakeholders informed of developments and maintaining great communication throughout the process.
• Providing team/office support as required, including assisting with team files, answering phones, and interacting with walk-in clients at reception.

What we're looking for

• Admission as a solicitor in Australia and hold a current NSW practising certificate
• Having at least a basic understanding in areas of transactional and/or compliance/regulatory law us preferred but not necessary.
• Must have 1+ years of experience of handling sale and purchase files of residential properties from end to end
• Must have a strong understanding of conveyancing practices and processes
• Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Proficient in Leap and PEXA
• A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
• Exceptional time management and organisational skills
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a close-nit supportive environment
