Your opportunity
The Mental Health Triage Clinical Nurse Role is pivotal to the mental health service, representing the first point of contact for people seeking assistance. The Clinical Nurse practices autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team to provide mental health services within a rural / remote health service setting.
The Mental Health Triage Clinical Nurse is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research. The clinical nurse assumes responsibility for professional leadership when working within a multidisciplinary team and applies critical thinking across all the domains. Working in an environment committed to making the patient the centre of care, you will make a difference to how the mental health service engages with the patient, the community, and the wider health service.
The very nature of what we do and who we are is the real opportunity. Providing health care in the bush is full of challenges, however, it remains the most rewarding of human experiences.
