As a Senior Magento PHP Developer, you will play a key role in the development and enhancement of the Magento platform for this major Australian retailer. Responsibilities
- Design and implement new features, integrations, and microservices for the Magento Adobe Commerce platform.
- Improve the performance, security, and stability of the platform, ensuring optimal user experiences.
- Manage code releases and ensure consistent versioning and quality control.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and resolve issues.
- Develop, maintain, and extend various APIs (GraphQL, REST, SOAP) used across the platform.
- Write unit tests and continuously improve quality assurance practices.
- Assess and implement new technologies, tools, and integrations that enhance the platform.
- Provide mentorship to junior developers and guide them in adhering to best practices.
Candidate Profile
You will be a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer with substantial experience working with Magento. You will have a solid understanding of building and maintaining high-volume, transactional eCommerce websites, and will be well-versed in integrating payment gateways, order management systems, and other critical business functions. A proven track record of solving complex technical challenges and developing robust, scalable systems will be essential. You'll have hands-on experience with PHP, Linux, MySQL, JavaScript, Redis, Elastic, Varnish, and RabbitMQ.
Your experience will include working with various APIs such as GraphQL, REST, and SOAP, as well as cloud services like AWS/Azure and container environments such as Docker/Kubernetes. You will also possess strong collaboration skills, able to effectively communicate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and junior developers. Additionally, your ability to mentor and develop junior team members will be a key aspect of this role, ensuring the team's continued growth and success.
