THE ROLE:

This is a newly created role for a technically astute accountant to join one of the existing teams of 6. Led by a long standing director, you will be mentored by a highly commercial accountant who has a loyal, high quality client base who are mainly large construction & professional services businesses.

This is a firm who don't want to pigeon hole you into a compliance, or advisory heavy role. They will sit down with you, understand your career goals, what you prefer, and tailor your progression in this team to suit you. Fancy doing compliance and not being client facing? Fine. Want to be advising clients more so? Also fine. Being a key hire for the firm, joining the team will unlock an exciting growth phase for the whole business. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in an Australia accounting firm.
• Hold or actively working towards a CA/CPA qualification.
• Proficiency in using Xero & XPM (preferred)
• Strong technical expertise in accounting, compliance, and advisory services.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Possess a proactive, client-focused attitude with a Can-Do approach.

YOUR ROLE

• Crafting financial statements, income tax returns, and summaries for diverse corporate and family groups, encompassing Trusts, Companies and Partnerships.
• Div 7A, CGT (shares & property) and FBT Calculations.
• Engaging with the ATO on various client matters, such as negotiating payment arrangements, seeking remissions, and extensions.
• Collaborating within a supportive team environment, working closely with a team of varied level accountants (inclusive of Partners.)
• Harnessing Xero for streamlined financials, tax returns, billing, and job management.
• Proactively communicating and coordinating with clients and external service providers to ensure exceptional service delivery.
