About the role:

This role will work closely with Technical Leads and Engineers to ensure the stability, reliability, and efficiency of ongoing deployments in a BAU environment. A key focus will be on managing and maintaining existing systems, troubleshooting deployment issues, and ensuring continuous operational excellence. This role will also collaborate with release management, environment management, and multiple cross-functional teams to oversee regular updates, bug fixes, and minor enhancements, ensuring seamless delivery within agreed timelines and service levels.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain, monitor, and continuously improve existing platforms and applications to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Technical Leadership teams to assess and adopt emerging technology tools and platforms that enhance system efficiency and operational resilience.
• Implement and refine methodologies and tools that enhance automation, deployment reliability, and alignment with industry-standard Continuous Delivery practices.
• Work closely with Release, Environment, and Operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient deployment processes, configuration management, and incident resolution.
• Manage and optimize Applications and Platforms that support core business functions, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and high performing.
• Conduct proactive capacity and performance management across all Cloud and on-premises environments, including Platform as a Service (PaaS), Containers, and shared compute services, to maintain operational excellence.

Essential Skills:

• Proven experience in maintaining and managing critical applications across Windows/Linux environments, both on-premises and in cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Experience with automated deployment and configuration management tools such as Puppet or Octopus Deploy to support ongoing system stability.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining and optimizing CI/CD pipelines using standard tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps, with a focus on continuous operational efficiency.
• Proficiency in integrating test automation within CI/CD pipelines to enhance system reliability and minimize deployment risks.
• Deep understanding and experience in Continuous Delivery practices with a focus on system uptime, reliability, and process automation.
• Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills to ensure seamless collaboration across BAU support teams and business functions.
