About the role
Associate Software Engineer plays an important role in the SCRUM delivery team, contributing to technical analysis, coding, testing, maintenance, and support. This role performs fortnightly software releases as well as configuration changes.
The role supports gathering and documenting business requirements, designing solutions, and collaborating with senior team members. Participates in code reviews to ensure code quality, writes technical documentation and knowledge articles to share knowledge with rest of the team.
Associate Software Engineer builds relationships with stakeholders, ensuring fit-for-purpose solutions and high-level engagement. The role resolves daily incidents and tickets submitted by Parks Victoria staff in a timely and efficient manner to ensure customer service commitments are met or exceeded.
About the Team
Parks Victoria protects and enhances over four million hectares of parks, ports, and waterways, and manages more than 30,000 assets. This built infrastructure is geographically dispersed, broad in type and nature, many in number, with mixed usage, varied ownership and has a replacement value in the order of $1.8B.
The Infrastructure and Information Technology Division provides core support in information technology and physical resources such as accommodation and fleet. The division provides the strategies, business processes and systems to deliver efficiently and effectively these core support services to enable Parks Victoria to be financially sustainable, safe, and technologically enabled. The IT Services (ITS) Division is responsible for providing Information Technology services and solutions to Parks Victoria at approximately 120 sites over Victoria and 1200 users. The branch is led by Parks Victoria's Chief Information Officer and comprises four functions - Engage, Plan, Build and Run.
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience in developing Microsoft Dataverse solutions (Dynamics 365, PowerAutomate, SharePoint)
- A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of .NET 8+, C#, JavaScript/Typescript, CSS, HTML and their industry best practices
- Excellent self-management, self-organisation, multi-tasking, and time management skills
