The Role

We are looking for a reliable and caring Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our tight-knit, multidisciplinary team.

As our Paediatric OT, you will have demonstrated clinical experience and be invested in providing a quality service to our clients, using a goal-focused, holistic approach. You will be encouraged to explore and utilise your strengths and creativity and will be supported with regular supervision, and Professional Development.

You will join a passionate, collaborative team of Occupational Therapists, Social Worker, Speech Pathologists, Educators, and Support workers who are willing to go the extra mile to empower our clients (and their carers) to achieve their goals and support ongoing independence throughout their lifespan.

Your work will be both in our clinic and out in the community and requires you to have the relevant professional registration, as well as a full unrestricted driver's license, and comprehensive car insurance.

Skills and experience

• Qualifications - Minimum bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy
• 2 years or more post-graduate experience in a paediatric OT role, working directly with children/young people with complex support needs, is preferred
• Experienced in conducting initial and ongoing assessments and managing and maintaining a case load with consistent therapy
• Experienced in communicating and collaborating with other stakeholders (carers, support coordinators, medical professionals, and other AHPs)
• Highly developed capacity for emotional self-regulation when working in high-stress situations and ability to support clients to regulate their own big emotions
• Willingness to travel to conduct sessions with clients in the community or in their home
