The primary role of the Maintenance Technician position is to inspect and maintain the refuelling vehicles and refuelling equipment according to Air BP specifications, ensuring reliability and availability of the equipment so we can service our customers.

The main tasks that you would be responsible for are:
• Perform maintenance tasks and inspections on refuelling vehicles, which include schedule maintenance tasks, problem-solving breakdowns and repairing defects
• Modifying and installing upgrades to vehicles when new standards are implemented
• Perform maintenance tasks and inspections on fixed plant including tanks, pipelines, valves and pumps.

• Driving a refuelling vehicle on airport roads including in and around aircraft
• Work as part of a small, supportive team

The fuel depot and refuelling vehicles operate 24/7 and although this is generally a Monday to Friday role, there is room for flexible working hours and days and may include some shift work and call outs to repair equipment.
In this role you would receive thorough training and support to ensure that you are set up for success and have confidence performing your role.

While we invite people with varied work backgrounds and experiences to apply, we do have some non-negotiables.

These are:

• Mechanical trade such as Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter or Diesel Fitter required.
• A proven ability to work as a member of a team with a positive, respectful and can-do attitude.
• Possess a commitment to working safely.
• Possess a current Australian drivers' licence.
• Be able to obtain an ASIC and Airside Drivers Licence after clearing security/police check as required by the applicable Airport Authority.
• HR Licence or willing to obtain.

A current Australian Heavy Vehicle drivers' licence and Dangerous Goods licence would also be beneficial but not mandatory as part of your initial application.
