Overview

We are currently recruiting an experienced Systems Engineer with expertise in marine engineering, naval architecture and system integration, to support the Hunter-class frigate program. Required is someone who has extensive maritime and systems engineering experience within a complex systems environment.

Location- Canberra, ACT - Relocation package available

Duration- Permanent

Salary- $150,000 - $180,000 + Super

Responsibilities

• Managing engineering change and system integration activities
• Work closely with prime contractors to manage data exchange, reporting, and technical alignment.
• Ensure integration from design to V&V, identifying solutions that balance technical requirements with program execution.
• Collaborating with contractors and key stakeholders
• Providing technical advice to senior leadership, including Chief Engineer and Technical Director.
• Work with technical and commercial teams to enhance systems engineering plans and estimates.
• Review assurance activities

Required Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Naval Architecture or similar engineering field.
• 5+ years' experience in maritime domain including ship design and shipbuilding
• Strong understanding of ship design and V&V processes
• NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain)
