One Solution Recruitment has partnered with our local council & we are currently seeking a Works and Assets Office at Northern Beaches Council.
The successful candidate will be part of the Building Management Services team ensuring that Council's approved projects and capital works for Public Buildings, Residential and Commercial properties are completed in an effect and efficient manner.
Great pay rate for the right candidate. Full time position based of 9-day fortnight of 7am-4pm. in Thornleigh with free onsite parking.
We are seeking enthusiastic candidate who is experienced and confident onsite with the following tasks:
- Time and attendance
- Staff personal and sensitive information
- Staff performance
- Preparing(developing), reviewing and managing new and existing contracts and tenders for Building Management Services.
- Assisting with inspection, condition assessment, and collection of physical data on Council's Buildings.
- Creating of new, and maintenance of existing asset records in Council's Asset Management System (AMS) to maintain council asset portfolio.
- Ongoing management of contractor compliance and contractual conditions.
- Arrang quotations and estimates of cost of capital works for buildings as requested by the Team Leader Building Managment Services.
- Provide status reports on Capital Works to the Team Leader Building Management Services.
- Supervise contractors ensuring work is complete on time, to a required standard and certify completed works.
- Approve variations to the contract.
- Excellent Microsoft Office Suite Experience, especially with Excel.
- Act in the role of Team Leader Building Management Services.
- Ability to work in both a business office, environment and field operations environment.
- Manage and ensure that all Council business documentation is adequately recorded with all business transactions and kept in the Document Management System in compliance with Council's determination, standards and procedures of recordkeeping for the following but not limited to:
Background information / Compatibility requirements
- Projects experience essential.
- Advanced building knowledge.
- High interpersonal and communication skills.
- Qualification verification - Must have Tertiary qualification in a relevant science, applied science or similar degree of minimum Cert IV in Building and Construction (Building) or equivalent.
- Ability and licensed “C” Class to drive a car.
