About the Role:

Our client is a national transport provider who is take pride in looking after their people. We have partnered with this highly sought after employer, to help them identify a passionate Senior HSE Advisor with a background in transport, heavy vehicle safety, logistics, or a similar high-risk industry - to join their national team. We This is a senior advisory role within the group HSE function, providing strategic guidance, compliance oversight, and HSE leadership across multiple business units.

Reporting to the GM of HSEQ, you will be responsible for driving safety culture, ensuring legislative compliance, and supporting business units with risk management, incident investigations (ICAM), and HSE initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level safety and environmental advisory support across multiple business units.
• Developing and producing monthly Board, and Senior Management HSEQ reports.
• Oversee HSE management systems, compliance, and legislative requirements (ISO standards).
• Analyse HSE data, identify trends, and develop improvement initiatives.
• Support bids and tenders with HSE expertise.
• Engage with regulators, inspectors, and key stakeholders.
• Drive strategic safety initiatives and cultural change within an aging workforce.
• Conduct incident investigations and ensure best-practice risk management.
• Facilitate monthly national HSE meetings and contribute to leadership discussions.
• Travel to depots and business units (approx. 25%).

Ideal Candidate:

• Diploma in Safety or equivalent qualification (essential).
• Enviro experience (essential).
• Strong understanding of ISO standards and safety management systems.
• ICAM incident investigation and auditing experience.
• Background in transport, heavy vehicle safety, logistics, or a similar high-risk industry.
• Confident in handling business unit pushback and influencing change.
• Experience working across different cultures and workforce demographics.
• A strategic thinker with the ability to implement initiatives and analyse safety data.
• Leadership capabilities to step in for the GM when required.
