As the Manager of Information and Records Management, you will lead a dedicated team, influence key stakeholders, and drive information governance excellence across our agency.
About the Role
As Manager, Information and Records Management, you will report to the Director, Digital and be responsible for:
- Leading the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and strategies to enhance information and records management practices.
- Ensuring compliance with Queensland Government standards and policies.
- Providing subject matter expertise to support the development of business systems that meet records management requirements.
- Managing a team responsible for records management, library services, data and information standards, and end-to-end data quality.
- Collaborating with key stakeholders, including managers in Digital and Technology teams, to drive information governance improvements.
- Overseeing health, safety, and wellbeing responsibilities to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Drive the development of information management standards, policies, and frameworks to support organisational needs.
- Information Governance: Ensure information is properly classified, managed, and aligned with compliance requirements.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with internal teams and external bodies to enhance records management capabilities.
- Data Management: Develop and maintain organisational data models, metadata, and data quality structures.
- Team Management: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, inclusion, and professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements
- While there are no mandatory qualifications for this role, qualifications in business, legal, information and records management, or a related field are highly regarded.
