We're currently seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead and mentor our growing software development team, helping to shape the future of energy management solutions.

About the Role

As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of innovative software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software, analytics, and engineering, to drive the development of dashboards, APIs, control software, and other critical systems. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a passion for renewable energy, and the ability to solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership – Lead, mentor, and support a growing team of software engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Software Development – Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of both front-end and back-end software systems, including dashboards, forecasting tools, and data processing systems.
• Architecture & Design – Guide the development of system architecture and design principles to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Strategic Planning – Work closely with senior leadership to define software development roadmaps and align team efforts with business goals.
• Quality Assurance – Ensure high standards of code quality through code reviews, testing, and resolution of technical issues. Maintain robust CI/CD practices.
• Collaboration & Communication – Foster collaboration between development, analytics, and engineering teams. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and expectations.
• Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance development processes, technologies, and tools to ensure the team’s success and efficiency.

Skills and Experience

7+ years of experience in software development.

Proven experience with modern web frameworks and styling libraries (React, Material-UI, or similar).

Strong knowledge of backend technologies (Node.js, Python, Java, or similar), and experience with REST APIs and cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP).

Experience with database design and management (SQL and NoSQL).

Strong problem-solving abilities and experience in software architecture and system design.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a technical team.

Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.

Desirable Skills

Experience with systems integration (REST, FTP, HTTP/S, SMTP, SNMP, SSH).

Familiarity with energy management technologies and an interest in the renewable energy sector.
