The Role

An opportunity has become available for a/several Pharmacist – Senior (Emergency, General Medicine and Aged Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver high level clinical pharmacy services
• Deliver high level clinical review services
• Resolve complex issues utilising evidence based medicine and clinical knowledge
• Supervise junior pharmacists

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
• AHPRA Registration
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Driver license
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary

• Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, up to 12 months with the possibility of extension, hrs negotiable)
• Base salary ranging from $128 169 - $137 918 per annum, $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients.
