MW Recruitment are partnering with a specialist, independent firm based in Brisbane's CBD who are in search for a highly commercial client manager to bolster their team.

Since their inception 25 years ago, the business has evolved into a truly specialist firm who have a tailored, high quality client portfolio which are at the size and quality of mid & 2nd tier firms, if not better. With 26 staff in their Brisbane office, the firm has a flat structure and you will have the resources of long standing partners at your disposal whenever required.

The firm is adamant on delivering a high quality service at all times, and only works with high quality listed and private clients, with turnovers up to $150 million. They have also invested in the latest technologies, automating the manual aspects of your job, to leave more time to genuinely advise, influence and make an impact on the clients you are servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

The role is an advisory weighted role where you will have autonomy to manage and grow your client portfolio, with the support of a high performing team underneath you.

  • Oversee & manage a diverse client portfolio of high profile listed & private clients
  • Preparation of financial statements & tax returns (all entity types excluding SMSF)
  • Div 7A, CGT (shares & property) and FBT Calculations
  • Guide clients in achieving their economic objectives
  • Manage & mentor a team of intermediate/senior accountants
  • Conduct in person advisory meetings
  • Liaison with the ATO
  • Maintenance & preparation of clients financial records
  • Maintain long standing client relationships and showcase effective rapport-building skills

About You:

  • 6+ years of experience in an Australian accounting firm
  • 2+ years experience in a manager capacity
  • CA/CPA qualifications complete
  • Experience with advising large turnover, listed & private clients (highly preferred)
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities
  • Comfortable working individually, & as a team on client files
