About the role

This is a full-time role for a Full Stack Engineer at BondAdviser, located in the Melbourne CBD. You’ll be a key contributor in supporting the business with our digital transformation by developing new features of various complexity, evolving the system for scale and growth, and performing day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvements of our core platform. By working closely with business, product, and engineering leadership, you'll design and implement new features and enhancements to meet the current and future needs of the business, supporting the company’s goal of developing market-leading financial product offerings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to a website redesign by helping architect/write a modern, scalable, and well-maintained frontend using technologies such as React and Rails with Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus.
• Working with people across the business including engineers, designers, and product owners to turn ideas into reality.
• Ensuring quality outcomes via proper planning, processes, and execution.

About You:

• Minimum of 5 years experience working with Ruby on Rails commercial projects.
• Confident in your frontend ability with proficiency in JS, CSS, React, Bootstrap, and Tailwind.
• Exposure to modern Rails technologies like Hotwire, Turbo, and Stimulus.
• Comfortable working in an agile manner and able to improve team processes.
• Ability to work well in a complex domain and application to achieve successful outcomes.
• Solid grounding in TDD, OOP, and a passion for writing clean, efficient code.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Beneficial Experience

• Familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, CloudFront, and ECS.
• DevOps experience with the ability to manage and evolve infrastructure.
• Experience working with Python.
• Experience working with AWS serverless tech including AWS Lambda and DynamoDB.
