Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Surveyor for a 3-month contract based in Kalgoorlie, offering a 2:1 FIFO/DIDO roster. Upon completion of the contract, the role will transition to either a Balcatta-based position or a new FIFO/DIDO project. The successful candidate will join a team that values precision, innovation, and collaboration, providing high-quality survey services for civil, construction, and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Surveying: Perform engineering, construction, and topographic surveys, including:

• Earthworks surveying
• Civil concrete surveying
• Feature and contour surveys
• As-constructed surveys
• Control surveys

Pipeline and Civil Construction Projects:

• Calculate alignments for pipelines and infrastructure
• Conduct ground surveys
• Prepare road designs for field set-out and machine control systems
• Calculate volumes and area quantities to support accurate project planning
• Data Management and Plan Preparation: Record, process, and prepare data using the latest survey equipment and software, including AutoCAD and LisCAD, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
• Client Liaison: Communicate survey findings to construction teams, project managers, and engineers to ensure smooth project delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Surveying (Degree or Diploma).
• Strong communication, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Experience with modern surveying equipment and software (Liscad, Leica, Topcon, Carlson).
• Strong understanding of survey standards and safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and pre-employment medical check.
• Current driver’s license.
