We are currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Project Engineer to play a pivotal role in the successful execution of complex projects, bringing their expertise in engineering and project management to the forefront. You will lead and supervise on-site activities, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, and to the highest quality standards. Collaborating with project managers and key stakeholders, you will translate design specifications into actionable plans while maintaining strict compliance with industry regulations and safety protocols. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual to make their mark in the industry and contribute to the success of our team.

Your initial responsibilities will include:

• Directing and supervising all project activities on-site, ensuring strict adherence to schedules, and quality standards.
• Working closely with project managers and stakeholders to interpret design specifications, translating them into actionable and effective project plans.
• Implementing and upholding safety protocols and best practices, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members.
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
• Overseeing the compliance of project works with technical specifications, relevant legislation, approvals, and industry standards.
• Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and process enhancements, promoting efficiency and cost-effectiveness in project execution.
• Foster a culture of safety and excellence on-site, encouraging best practices and continuous improvement among team members.
• Promote Goldsmith values and culture within the project team.

About you

To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:

• Previous experience in a similar role
• A demonstrated ability to manage large scale, self-performed, bulk earthworks.
• Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Bachelor level Degree in relevant functions of Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or Engineering
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel across South Australia and Victoria, with occasional overnight stays required as part of the role.
• Valid working rights in Australia
