Looking for a House Manager / Housekeeper / Personal Assistant

Role Overview:

This is a dream job for someone who loves taking care of a house and making it a home.

I am seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to take on the hybrid role of a House Manager, Housekeeper & Personal Assistant for a busy professional in a private home in Everton Hills. You will oversee and manage household operations, maintain a pristine living environment, and provide personal assistance in daily tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, initiative and the ability to juggle various responsibilities with professionalism and discretion.

Hours:

3 days a week, 15 hours per week.

Exact shift times are flexible and will be determined. Late morning & afternoon hours are preferred for shifts on-premises. The following is the proposed shift schedule:

  • 1 day a week on premises
  • 1 day on premises and/or running errands
  • 1 day on call

Immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Household Inventory tracking – groceries, cleaning supplies, and other essential items, ensuring they are always stocked and in good condition.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance tracking – schedule, monitor and log regular cleaning, repairs and household upkeep.
  • Task management – to-do lists, shopping lists, meal plans, personal task lists.
  • Calendar – to track appointments, deadlines and schedules, ensuring reminders are set.
  • Weekly Summary Report – outlining all tasks completed, upcoming appointments, household needs, and issues requiring attention.
  • Ensure the interior & exterior of the house is always clean and well-maintained.
  • Complete general household tasks, such as tidying, laundry, changing bed linen & towels, ironing, restocking household items and basic maintenance tasks.
  • Regularly inspect the property and organize for cleaning, check-up & maintenance of the house, its furnishings and appliances e.g. aircons, dishwasher, fridge, oven, vacuum etc.
  • Organize and supervise all household personnel, including cleaners, gardener, pool service, personal cooks, tradespeople, and maintenance & repair technicians.
  • Run errands & personal tasks as needed, including shopping, order pickups, car wash, flower arrangements, gift purchases & wrapping, document filing (e.g. receipts, manuals).
  • Assist with designers & tradespeople on refurbishment projects for the house.
  • Be in regular communication on all household matters including appointments, expenses, and any issues requiring attention.

  • Highly organized & proactive – thinking ahead, taking initiative, anticipating needs and completing tasks efficiently without supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for neatness and style.
  • Flexible & adaptable – Comfortable handling a variety of tasks and adjusting to changing priorities with ease.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Takes pride in maintaining a well-run home and has a genuine love for housekeeping.
  • Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Skilled in management systems – Comfortable tracking tasks, managing household inventory, maintaining schedules, and ensuring regular communication.

I am seeking someone who can commit long-term, providing stability and consistency.

While direct house management or personal assistant experience is not required, I need someone with the skills necessary for this role. If you have a background in roles that involve similar skill sets, I’d love to hear from you.

You must have a valid driver’s license. You will also need to obtain a police check.
