About the role

Prospect Energy is seeking an experienced Trade Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Biggera Waters, QLD. This position will involve providing support to our skilled electricians, ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of solar and electrical services to our valued clients. As a Trade Assistant, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our business, contributing to the overall success of the company.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting electricians with the installation, maintenance and repair of solar and electrical systems and equipment
• Performing general labouring duties such as material handling, tool preparation and site clean-up
• Ensuring work areas are safe and compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations
• Maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service when interacting with clients
• Contributing to the team's productivity and efficiency through reliable and diligent work practices

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or in a similar support role within the electrical industry
• Strong practical skills and the ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• Working at heights certificate
• ABN
• Experience in solar or roof works
