As an educator you’ll work as part of a small team of early childhood professionals to deliver SDN’s innovative, high quality and inclusive program for children, while building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families, and delivering the support of the SDN village to their lives.

You will be a certificate -qualified educator with a special interest in diversity and inclusion, a passion for inclusive early childhood practice and a willingness to grow and learn.
About the team
At SDN Tigger’s Honeypot Randwick @ UNSW, we prioritize building strong relationships and a sense of community. From the moment families arrive, we foster connections that last well beyond their time with us. Our spacious back garden, filled with fruit trees, native plants, and three resident chickens, provides an ideal setting for outdoor learning. We advocate for nature-based, hands-on play, encouraging children to engage in challenging and calculated risk-taking experiences.
About the role
Your role will involve collaborating with children about their interests and supporting them by creating a stimulating environment. As well as supporting the physical needs of children, you will assist in the observation and evaluation of the children’s development, creating an environment which ensures trust and security and provides flexible routines and smooth transitions.
You will need
- Experience in a similar role
- A Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework
- Demonstrated understanding of the National Quality Standards
- Working with Children Check and current Senior First Aid qualification
- Sound understanding of the development of children, their health, hygiene and nutritional needs
