About the role

Legion Drilling is seeking experienced Sonic, Geotechnical and Geoprobe Drillers to join our team in Wetherill Park, NSW. This is a full-time position, offering the opportunity to work for a leading company in the mining, resources and energy industry. As a Sonic, Geotechnical & Geoprobe Driller, you will play a vital role in supporting our Geotechnical and Environmental Drilling operations.

What you'll be doing

• Operate and maintain drilling rigs to collect soil, rock, and groundwater samples
• Installation of groundwater wells, inclinometers, Vibrating Wire Piezometers
• Assist with the planning and execution of drilling programs
• Ensure all drilling activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
• Accurately log and document drilling data and sample information
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment
• Collaborate with the broader exploration and geoscience team

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a sonic, geotechnical or Geoprobe driller, preferably within the mining, resources or infrastructure sectors
• Strong technical and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to operate and maintain drilling equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately log and document drilling data
• A commitment to safety and a demonstrated track record of safe work practices
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in geotechnical or environmental drilling
• A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work collaboratively
