About the Opportunity
We are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Coordinator to join our team on a Permanent Full-Time basis at our Picton offices. The Apprentice Coordinator is responsible for the effective design, implementation, and management of Piacentini & Son’s apprenticeship program to ensure a high-quality supply of future tradespeople into the business.
About You
- 3+ Years experience in a similar role
- Relevant qualification and/or certifications in Training and Assessment or Education
- Knowledge of, and experience with Apprenticeship Programs and Apprenticeship regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders
- Good leadership, coaching, and mentoring ability
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong numerical literacy, attention to detail, data analysis, and reporting skills
- Demonstrated Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excell, Outlook & SharePoint)
- Display a clear commitment and focus on the health, safety and well-being of all employees
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Willingness to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen
Responsibilities
- Liaise with management on annual apprentice intake requirements
- Coordinate the recruitment, selection, and placement of work experience students and apprentices, ensuring relevant documentation is in place on time
- Organize apprentice TAFE/Westrac requirements and liaise with lecturers to ensure studies are being completed at the required standard
- Develop and coordinate roster systems for all apprentices to ensure comprehensive training and experience throughout the Picton workshops and relevant sites
- Ensure tradespeople and supervisors are equipped with the necessary skills to effectively transfer their skills and experience to apprentices
- Meet regularly with individual apprentices to establish and address any mutual concerns and development needs, providing coaching and mentoring support to ensure they remain on track with their development and motivated throughout their apprenticeship
- Arrange apprentice development and engagement get-togethers during the year on various topics
- Ensure apprentice incentives and other required documents are correctly completed and submitted within allocated times
- Perform six-monthly performance review assessments on all apprentices and manage performance when required using the appropriate company procedures
- Track and report on the apprenticeship program, with recommendations to management to ensure continued effectiveness
- Liaise with managers on recommended completion dates of apprentices
- Maintain strong relationships and communication pathways with apprentices, educational institutions, and workplace leaders involved with apprenticeships
