Qualified Boilermaker / Mechanical Fitter Required for process facility in Tweed!

Your new company

Our client is a well-established manufacturing plant located in Tweed Heads, operating for over 60 years. They run a large family business and have established a reputable brand within the industry.

Your new role

Due to expansion, our client is now seeking a number of qualified mechanical fitters and boilermakers to assist with the maintenance and continuous operation of our client's equipment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics.
• Assisting with troubleshooting and problem-solving of gearboxes, mill trains, crushers, and pumps.
• Providing timely, safe, and efficient maintenance services, handling both planned and unplanned jobs, and ensuring high standards.
• Maintaining factory operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations to keep equipment running smoothly.

What you'll need to succeed

• Certificate III in Engineering
• 6-12 months of experience as a Boilermaker or Mechanical Fitter
• Confined Space, EWP and Safe Working at Heights Certificate (preferred but not essential).
• High-level reasoning ability to make sound decisions based on analysis, evaluation of information, experience, and judgement.
• Heavy Industrial/Shutdown experience
  
• Proven exposure to working on a wide range of equipment, pumps, valves, pipelines, motors, gearboxes, boilers and turbines
  
• Ability to fabricate small & large components
  
• Competent in interpreting drawings
  
• Machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
  
• Organisational skills and ability to prioritise
  
• Commitment and good attitude to safety and culture
  
• Teamwork and willingness to co-operatively share
