About the role
Randwick Golf Club in Malabar, NSW is seeking a motivated and experienced Functions Manager to join our dedicated team. This full-time role will see you leading the planning and execution of all events and functions hosted at our busy premier hospitality venue.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the end-to-end planning and delivery of all functions and events, from initial client enquiry to post-event follow-up
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and create customised event solutions
- Collaborate with our caterers and bar operations team to ensure seamless execution of functions
- Oversee the setup and breakdown of function spaces to deliver a high-quality experience for guests
- Monitor and report on function performance and identify opportunities for growth and improvement
- Assist with the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract new function bookings
- Consider the implementation of an event management and reporting system
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and licensing regulations
What we're looking for
- Experience in a similar functions or events management role, ideally within the hospitality industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
- Strong organisational and project management abilities to coordinate all aspects of event planning and delivery
- A ‘hands-on’ person with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve desired outcomes
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality, events management or a similar discipline is desirable
