Overview:
Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with local government to secure a Senior Stormwater Infrastructure Engineer and a Coastal Infrastructure Engineer for a 6-month period. This position will provide technical engineering advice and undertake complex investigations for a range of stormwater infrastructure, drainage, flood and water quality related matters to meet the needs of the community within the City of Moreton Bay area.

Key Responsibilities for a Senior Infrastructure Stormwater Engineer:

• Investigate complex stormwater infrastructure, drainage, water quality and localised flooding problems and prepare technical reports and make recommendations to ensure project outcomes are met
• Coordinate and/or undertake design studies into stormwater infrastructure improvement opportunities to support infrastructure investigations and projects, including the management of specialist consultants.
• Prepare and present complex technical reports and correspondence describing the outcome of engineering investigations.

Key Responsibilities for a Coastal Infrastructure Engineer:

• Provide technical advice and undertake supporting investigations for a broad range of coastal and foreshore management issues including general coastal zone management, beach erosion, beach nourishment
• Engage proactively with key stakeholders in investigating, providing advice and responding to customer/client enquiries relating to coastal infrastructure and coastal management issues
• Provide technical input into development of annual capital and operational works budgets using a prioritised and staged approach to the delivery of coastal management and coastal infrastructure projects.

Essential Requirements:

• Degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil or Environmental engineering or equivalent, ideally comprehensive knowledge and experience in stormwater infrastructure management.
• Demonstrated experience in completing field inspections, site inspections and data gathering to support coastal and stormwater infrastructure planning and design.
• Demonstrated experience in the preparation and presentation of complex technical reports and recommendations.
