About Us

Koala Child Care Centre is a community-based early childhood centre dedicated to educating and caring for children from 8 weeks to 5 years. We are proud to be rated as Exceeding in all 7 Quality Areas. Located on the grounds of Sutherland Hospital, Koala Child Care Centre boasts a wonderful team of educators and a beautiful farm yard of gardens and chickens, in which we run our gardening programs with children.

We now have a rare opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma Educator to join our 3-5 year old preschool room.

Koala is a Child Safe Centre and we encourage those committed to children's safety.

If you have a passion for learning and teaching children from birth to 5 years, possess good communication skills and are patient, empathetic, creative, adaptable, observant and organised; this job is for you.

We are seeking someone with a sound knowledge of child development and the ability to implement a play-based learning environment to strengthen our team of educators and enhance our centre.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

• Must hold an Early Childhood Teaching Degree (fully accredited ECT) or Diploma in Children's Services
• Have a Working With Children Check number or be willing to obtain one
• Current child protection qualifications
• First aid, asthma and anaphylaxis training
• Able to provide two (2) references

Position:

Full-Time Teaching Position for Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma Educator

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Educating and caring for children in the 3-5 preschool room.
