The Role
Cadence Connect is recruiting a Senior Corporate Analyst on behalf of a high-growth, private equity-backed business with a strong leadership team and a culture that values hard work, career development, and recognition. This is a pivotal role within the finance team, offering the opportunity to partner with senior business leaders, provide strategic financial insights, and enhance business performance. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will be responsible for financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and supporting M&A activities.
Your Impact
As a key member of the finance team, you’ll play a critical role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and commercial analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
✔️ Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual financial (Cash & P&L) budgets and forecasts, perform variance analysis, and prepare financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
✔️ Commercial Finance Support: Partner with sales, marketing, and operations teams to evaluate pricing strategies, product profitability, and cost optimisation opportunities.
✔️ Business Partnering & Decision Support: Work closely with senior leadership to provide data-driven insights and support key strategic initiatives.
✔️ Mergers & Acquisitions: Lead due diligence on potential acquisitions, assess financial viability, and prepare investment papers for board review.
✔️ Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure accuracy in financial reporting, support internal and external audits, and improve financial processes.
✔️ Ad-hoc Analysis & Special Projects: Conduct deep dives into business trends, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to ongoing business improvements.
What You’ll Bring
✅ Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- CPA, CFA, or CIMA qualification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or corporate finance roles.
- Strong business partnering experience with the ability to influence stakeholders.
✅ Technical Skills:
- Advanced financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Experience with financial reporting and strategic planning.
- Solid background in M&A, deals analysis and strategy.
✅ Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and results-driven approach with a passion for business improvement.
