Your opportunity

As a Linesperson or Electrical Fitter Mechanic, based at Moura, you’ll build on your highly practiced electrical skills to ensure the integrity of our LV and HV overhead powerlines and underground infrastructure for our communities.

Moura is a rural town located in the Shire of Banana in Central Queensland, Australia. It is situated approximately 65 kilometres west of Biloela on the Dawson Highway, 186 kilometres west of the port city of Gladstone, and 171 kilometres southwest of Rockhampton. The remuneration for your new role is from $113k + 14.75% superannuation + applicable allowances.

Location Incentives:

If you’re looking to boost your Superannuation before retirement or perhaps, you’re saving to enter the property market, the following allowances will go a long way towards reaching your financial goals.

Non-Urban Zone Allowance – up to $11,792 per annum.
Housing Allowance – up to $17,160 per annum.
Locality Allowance – up to $1,755 per annum.
Non-Urban Time Recognition Payments - $5,000 after 2 years and if you decide to stay on for 5, 10, 15 or even 20 years, we’ll pay you $10,000at each milestone.

And, if you don't currently live in this neck of the woods, we'll also chip in up to $10,000 relocation assistance to make the move just that little bit easier.

What you’ll bring

  • A Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certification as an Electrical Linesperson or Electrical Fitter Mechanic.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of an electricity distribution/transmission system, including construction and maintenance of an electrical network.
  • Current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
  • Australian or New Zealand citizenship or an Australian permanent residency.

We’d also love you to have:

  • Well-developed interpersonal communication skills to develop good working relationships with team members and external customers. You must have the ability to identify and understand customer needs.
  • Availability for call out and emergency work.
  • Willingness to travel to surrounding area from time to time to undertake work.
