The School is seeking experienced academics to deliver quality teaching to our students within the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Discipline. We encourage applicants from Women in STEMM and First Nations peoples, and those from diverse cultures, abilities and experiences.
Who you are:
- Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit.
- Expertise in the preparation and delivery of courses at undergraduate level, including hybrid online-face to face delivery, and the ability to produce high quality program materials.
- Competency to undertake a course coordination role.
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively with, and to negotiate sensitively with students, especially on issues related to effective learning.
What you'll do:
In this Teaching and Research role, you will:
- Undertake independent teaching of undergraduate level courses in the Bachelor of Engineering Associate, Technologist and Honours programs.
- Write course materials, facilitate workshops and tutorial sessions, design and grade assessments, and implement improvements informed by course evaluation activities and student feedback.
- Assist in the development of postgraduate level courses in your academic focus area.
- Undertake general course coordination duties.
- Develop a research program in collaboration with existing academics, with a view to contributing to high-quality publications and attracting postgraduate students.
- Adhere to the requirements of UniSQ’s Academic Expectations and Development Framework.
What will help you succeed:
Your relevant industry experience will be complemented by your commitment to delivering quality teaching in the area of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. In addition, you will have:
- Proven teaching proficiency as well as experience in curriculum development and course management roles.
- Ability to develop and deliver teaching programs using online and in-person delivery in two or more of the following areas: power systems protection; industrial data communications; embedded systems hardware and software; programming languages for engineering; hardware description languages; electronic design for sensors, power electronics, data acquisition, or wireless communications.
- Proven ability to supervise undergraduate-level projects would be highly regarded; applicants are invited to provide evidence of their past projects.
- A master’s or doctoral qualification is desirable; in the absence of this, demonstrated progress towards a higher degree, including a clear plan for completion, is essential.
- The ability to work with external partners, industries and organisations.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (37.5 hrs/week)
Salary:
Senior Lecturer - Total remuneration range for full-time appointment $156,562 to $179,946 pa (includes salary range of $132,287 to $152,045 pa, employer superannuation contributions up to 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
Lecturer - Total remuneration range for full-time appointment $128,506 to $151,889 pa (includes salary range of $108,581 to $128,339 pa, employer superannuation contributions up to 17% of salary and annual leave loading)
Appointment will be made at Level B or Level C, dependent on qualifications and experience.
