About the role: The Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI) Plus supports people with severe mental conditions to live and participate in the community in the way that they want to. We assist up to 10 participants live in their own self-contained accommodation located on one site. In this role, you will be supporting them to maintain their tenancy and providing safe and effective, recovery-oriented and trauma informed mental health support. There is a high focus on recovery values including hope, self-direction, empowerment, strength based and a peer support model.
The role is funded until 30th June 2026.
Hours and location: The hours are part time 60 hours per fortnight with potential opportunity for more hours. You will be working shifts that support a 24-hour model so flexible availability to work nights and weekends is essential.
Staff in the program work both in the community and at the site in Kempsey. To ensure consistency of service for our participants, we are looking for people who have availability to work a minimum of least 3 shifts a week.

- Certificate IV in Mental Health or higher tertiary qualifications.
- Current Driver's Licence, a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Working with Children Check, and First Aid certificate.
- Demonstrated experience working in the Mental Health sector coordinating care for persons with complex support needs co-occurring with significant mental health conditions
- Computer literate with capacity to support others to access technology, use apps and input data to our CRM
- Established networks and relationships with a range of services in the local area
- Availability to work a variety of shifts including active nights, sleepovers and weekends

This role is remunerated at SCHCDS Level 3 ($37.35ph) plus allowances and penalties with access to salary packaging.
