About the role:
Marlee Early Education & Care, in Narrabundah ACT is seeking skilled and experienced Directors (or experienced Assistant Director ready for progression) to lead our teams.
Marlee Early Education and care is licenced for 38 children from 2year to school age with an large natural outdoor play space, a play based curriculum and a commitment to supporting children to be lifelong learners.
The centre is cohesive in their approach to supporting families and dedicated to educators having the time to help children learn through play.
- Permanent full time position (76 hours/fortnight)
- Above award wage, including
- Children’s Services Award – Children’s Services Employee Level 6 with salary from $40.52- $43.98, commensurate with experience and qualifications
- An on-call allowance of $9.75 per day
- Educational Leader allowance $2.23 per hour
- Establish and nurture respectful relationships with children, families and staff
- Support your team to provide engaging learning environments that allow children to think critically and direct their own learning while ensuring the overall health, wellbeing and safety of all children attending the service
- Further develop partnerships with local agencies and community groups
- Ensure that day-to-day operational, financial, human resource and marketing management of the service is conducted in line with organisation policies and procedures
- The successful applicant will fill the role of nominated supervisor
Director requirements:
- Diploma in Early Education and Care (or ACEQA approved equivalent)
- Previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director
- Current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration
- First aid certificate, and asthma and anaphylaxis certificates
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to guide a team in providing quality early childhood education and care
- Sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, Family Assistance Law and the Early Years Learning Framework
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Current driver licence and own car (desirable)
