Role Overview:

As Head Chef at FRENCHIE, you’ll lead the kitchen and create an elevated yet approachable French dining experience. From executing classic French dishes with precision to leading a team of passionate kitchen staff, you'll be the heart and soul of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality of food while maintaining the fast-paced, fun vibe that defines FRENCHIE. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the culinary direction of a brand known for making French cuisine accessible and exciting.

We are looking for someone who is eager to join our team long-term and help us grow as we continue to push the boundaries of modern French dining. The ideal candidate will start later this year and will be committed to building something amazing with us for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Creation & Development: Curate and maintain an evolving menu that celebrates classic French dishes with a modern twist, all while keeping the flavors bold and the plates simple yet sophisticated.
  • Kitchen Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of chefs and kitchen staff, ensuring smooth kitchen operations while fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
  • Food Quality & Consistency: Ensure every dish that leaves the kitchen is prepared to the highest standard, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Inventory & Cost Management: Oversee food stock, ordering, and cost controls to ensure we’re delivering top-quality meals within budget and minimizing waste.
  • Hygiene & Safety Standards: Maintain cleanliness and uphold all health and safety standards in the kitchen, ensuring a safe environment for the team and guests.
  • Training & Development: Mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff, providing guidance and opportunities for growth in culinary skills and leadership.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Culinary Experience: Extensive experience in high volume kitchens, with a strong background in French cuisine. Previous experience as a Head Chef or in a senior kitchen role is essential.
  • Creative Vision: A passion for pushing the boundaries of French cuisine while keeping it accessible and fun for all guests.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a kitchen team, ensuring high performance and morale.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to execute dishes with precision and consistency, focusing on quality, presentation, and flavor.
  • Passion for Quality Ingredients: A deep appreciation for using high-quality, fresh ingredients and showcasing them in every dish.
  • Time Management & Efficiency: Skilled at managing a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining high standards of food preparation and service.
