About the role
We are currently seeking a fully registered Speech Pathologist to join our team and work with children and adolescents. The role offers flexibility, with the possibility of part-time or full-time engagement.
As a valued Speech Pathologist at EISS, you will:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate discipline-specific clinical services across various settings, including schools, social groups, community programs, and home visits.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and guide therapy assistants to deliver effective play-based therapy.
- Complete assessments and prepare detailed reports for individual clients.
- Work one-on-one with clients to deliver safe, personalised therapy programs in home-based or school settings.
- Contribute to a professional, positive, and ethical work environment to continually improve our practice's processes and procedures.
About you: Our Ideal Candidate
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia
- Valid Driver’s licence and access to a car
- Police check (or prepared to obtain)
- Working with Children Check (or prepared to obtain)
- A commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and person-centred care
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative team spirit
- Empathetic and compassionate towards clients facing physical and emotional challenges
- Skilled at encouraging client participation and overcoming resistance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience within the Disability Sector is highly desirable
- Prior experience as an exclusive community- based Speech Pathologist is highly advantageous
