About the Opportunity
At PMHC every employee plays a part in ensuring we work together to achieve positive outcomes for our community. To help us achieve this we are seeking Water Meter Readers to join our team.
Successful candidates will be self-motivated and have excellent attention to detail. The role undertakes the reading and maintenance of all council water meters including the servicing of customer enquiries and other duties as directed from the Water and Debtors Team Leader. Experience within Local Government is not necessary but would be highly regarded. There are plenty of opportunities for growth and career development.
On a typical day our water meter readers will be out reading and recording the water meters accurately and in accordance with a schedule including:
- Read water meters.
- Conduct special water meter readings on time when requested.
- Undertake water meter computerised records maintenance.
- Service of final notices for disconnection/restriction of water service or water accounts when required.
- Complete counter and field enquiries in respect to water meter reading/billing.
- Assist in the sequencing of water meter routes.
Remuneration and Benefits
Employment Type: Full time, Permanent & Temporary roles available working 38 hours per week
Salary (exclusive of super): Starting salary of $ 1,090.87 per week with opportunity for competency-based progression.
