Today, we support over 900 families across Australia, offering in-person and online services from 10 locations in NSW, ACT, Queensland, and Tasmania. Through our global platform, HearHub, we equip health professionals worldwide with the tools to support children with hearing loss.

When you join The Shepherd Centre, you become part of a passionate, purpose-driven team dedicated to making a real difference. We foster a family-friendly, flexible work environment where our people can thrive—both professionally and personally.

As a child-safe organisation and an equal-opportunity employer, we are committed to creating an inclusive, accessible workplace where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels valued. Join us in shaping a future where every child has a voice!

About the Role

We are growing and expanding our services to even more children and families and we are interested in hearing from highly motivated and enthusiastic Audiologists, who would like to join our fantastic team at our Canberra centre.

If your availability differs slightly, we still encourage you to apply, as final hours and days will be negotiated with the successful candidate. In addition to the base salary, a location allowance will be provided, along with a relocation package for candidates moving to Canberra.

You will become an integral part of the multidisciplinary team that provides hearing implant services, Listening & Spoken Language Therapy and guidance and counselling to children and their families.

The role includes all aspects of paediatric hearing assessment; discussing results with families including electrophysiological tests, educational audiology in providing guidance to parents and professionals about maximizing a child’s access to sound, devices and all aspects of cochlear implant, Osia® and Baha® management, from preoperative evaluation to intra operative assessments and ongoing postoperative management.

You will work closely with agencies in the hearing and educational fields, including The Canberra Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, ENTs surgeons, Australian Hearing and Teachers and have the opportunity to work with children who have a wide range of hearing losses and hearing devices. Some occasional travel may be required between our centres.
