About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Office Manager to oversee the Business Management System, manage the staff, coordinate the workloads across the office and lead the business to a success under the direction of the Managing Director.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, training and management of employees
  • Management of training contracts and registrations of Apprentices and Trainees
  • Human Resource Management and support for the organisation
  • Management and processing of payroll
  • Oversee accounts payable, receivable and prepare all associated financial reports and documentation
  • Injury incident management
  • Support the effective liaison with all clientele, stakeholders and contractors
  • Manage communication with business contractors for IT, telecommunication, cleaning, repairs/maintenance etc
  • Prepare agenda's for meetings, minute taking and distribution of minutes immediately following meetings
  • Manage allocated current projects, including deliverables/documentation, and provide reports to the Managing Director as required
  • Ensure the business maintains compliancy in ISO 14001, ISO 9001, & ISO 45001
  • Ensure the Business Management System is applied in the workplace, and procedures are followed for all Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements
  • Participating in internal business projects for continual improvement of our service offering
  • Stopping, rejecting or quarantining unsafe work methods, work areas, materials and equipment
  • Identifying hazards, and assessing and controlling risks

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven experience in business management
  • Proven experience in customer service / client account management roles
  • Experience in the building and construction industry is highly desirable
  • Proven success in office management or strong senior administration
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding in broad functions of accounts management, including payroll, superannuation, accounts payable/receivable etc
  • Highly organised individual with experience in diverse roles demonstrating effective time management
  • Confident verbal and written communication skills with evidence of ability to develop and maintain effective workplace relationships
  • High attention to detail coupled with initiative
  • Ability to work as part of a team, focus on own tasks and keep team motivated and operating at optimum levels
  • Studies in administration/business/construction management or other relevant disciplines are desired
  • Experience in development, maintenance, and implementation of business management systems
  • Experience in quality management, auditing, risk management, or similar fields
