Melbourne Centre for Athletic Performance (MCAP) is a dynamic and exciting environment focused on delivering high-quality services to the local community, with a specialization in elite and aspiring athletes. Our comprehensive range of services includes physiotherapy, remedial massage, strength and conditioning, and now, we are seeking a talented Podiatrist to join our team.
As a Podiatrist with MCAP, you will have the opportunity to work with both the general population and athletes of all ages and abilities, from aspiring juniors to professional sportspeople. Your role will involve:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of athletes' lower limb function, including gait analysis, biomechanics, and foot structure evaluation.
- Developing personalized treatment plans to address athletes' specific foot and lower limb issues, including orthotic prescription, footwear recommendations, and exercise therapy.
- Delivering evidence-based podiatric interventions, such as joint mobilization, soft tissue therapy, and foot and ankle strengthening exercises.
- Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and optimize athletes' performance and recovery.
- Educating athletes on injury prevention, proper foot care, and performance optimization strategies.

Criteria:
- Bachelor's degree in Podiatry
- Current general AHPRA registration
- Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Proven experience working as a Podiatrist, with a focus on sports-related injuries and performance enhancement highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with athletes
- Ability to work effectively and collaborate with a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, strength and conditioning coaches, and massage therapists
- Personal Indemnity insurance or Public Liability insurance (required by commencement date).
- Current First Aid certification (required by commencement date).
