Position Overview

As a Test Automation Engineer, this role will lead the best practices on testing and automation framework leading to shipped software that delivers valuable outcomes for business, which include;

  • Contributing to the squad achieving sprint goals following Agile processes
  • Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to develop a strong understanding of the systems and testing objectives
  • Design, create, execute, analyse, manual and automated tests both for the sprint as well as regression testing
  • Support production deployment of applications
  • Ability to write clear bug reports quickly and concisely and collaborate with developers to get them fixed
  • Carry out exploratory testing within an Agile environment
  • Support deployment and assist with production issues
  • Providing team leadership to a group of Test engineers
  • Demonstrating experience and understanding of best practice Quality Assurance in test design and execution and the latest developments in supporting toolset

Experience required

  • 3-5+ years of Automation testing background using tools such as Specflow, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman or SOAP UI
  • Writing feature files and developing step definitions using C#
  • Experience in both browser and API based automation
  • Extensive experience in Test Automation on large-scale projects
  • Ability to handle high-pressure environments with complex systems
  • Solid understanding and experience of testing in JIRA
  • Agile development practices

Specific Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge with C#, HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, SQL
  • Knowledge of CI/CD
  • Experience in source control systems
  • Strong experience in development and design of automation frameworks

  • Strong communication skills, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and context switch
  • Strong team player
  • Passionate about all things digital and highly motivated with a willingness to learn
