Position: Staff Specialist Psychiatrist
Location: Adult Mental Health Services, QLD

- Salary Range: $10,221.70 p.f.
- Annual Leave: 4 to 6 weeks with 17.5% loading
- Superannuation: 12.75% employer contribution
- Salary Sacrificing: Options may be available
- Attraction and Retention Incentive Allowance: 50% of base salary
- Motor Vehicle Allowance: $21,000 - $25,500 p.a.
- Professional Development Allowance: $21,500 p.a. + 3.6 weeks leave per annum

About the Opportunity:
Seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist – General Adult Staff Specialist or Senior Staff Specialist to join our Adult Mental Health Services team. In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care through comprehensive assessment and treatment services to individuals presenting with psychiatric, emotional, and/or behavioral disturbances. This includes patients treated under the Mental Health Act (2016) across the facilities. As a Staff Specialist Psychiatrist, you will deliver high-quality clinical and non-clinical services to benefit patients, contributing to research and teaching future health professionals. This position is based in the where you will work within a collegial, multi-disciplinary team, supported by operational and peer guidance. You will lead the delivery of medical services in alignment with the specialty standards, ethics of the profession, and in accordance Queensland Health (QH) policies, across hospital, community, and outreach settings. Your contributions will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the mental health care provided to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced clinical care through the assessment and treatment of individuals with psychiatric, emotional, and behavioral disturbances.
- Lead medical services in accordance with professional ethics
- Engage in clinical research and education of future health professionals.
- Work in a supportive, multi-disciplinary environment.
